FLINT, MI— Dort Federal Credit Union is proudly partnering with the Salvation Army of Genesee County, WCRZ FM, and ABC 12 to present the 2013 Stuff the Bus school supply drive. Since its inception in 2006, the Stuff the Bus program has provided 2,926 filled book bags to area students.
Dort Federal Credit Union will be receiving donations at all seven of their area offices beginning August 1, 2013 through Friday, August 16, 2013. During the credit union’s 9th annual Member Appreciation Movie Day on August 12th, 2013, held at NCG Trillium Cinema in Grand Blanc, NCG Courtland Cinema in Burton, and NCG Lapeer Cinema in Lapeer, Dort Federal Credit Union members who bring in a new donation item(s) for Stuff the Bus will be entered to win two tickets to Cedar Point. Ten sets of two tickets will be given away. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, August 13th. More details are available on Dort Federal Credit Union’s web site at dortonline.org.

Stuff the Bus is accepting new school supplies including pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, markers, loose leaf paper, folders, scissors, rulers, erasers, pencil boxes, backpacks, and other school supply items. The program also makes classroom donations and things like hand sanitizer, facial tissues, cleaning wipes, and hand soap are greatly appreciated as well.
