FLINT, MI—Dort Federal Credit Union held its 7th Annual Member Appreciation Movie Day on Monday, August 8, 2011. More than 17,000 members and their guests attended this year’s event.
Since 2005, Dort Federal has been offering their members an annual free movie day at four local theatres. Members could receive up to four free movie tickets each, a ticket for themselves and up to three guests. Members simply needed to show proof of membership via their Dort Federal membership card, ATM card, Debit card, Visa Platinum credit card, or monthly statement. Summer blockbusters like The Smurfs, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Cowboys & Aliens were among member favorites this year.
Many members enjoyed a night out at the movies, sponsored by Dort Federal, including Pam Borg of Grand Blanc who said, “Our family really enjoyed going to the movies. Thank you so much!”
Dort Federal Credit Union has more than 53,000 members with seven locations in and around the Greater Flint area. The credit union’s membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships, or volunteers in Genesee, Lapeer, or Shiawassee County, or Deerfield and Tyrone Townships in Livingston County.
